PCN 52m
« on: »
A family member received this PCN from Newham Council.

Can any of the experts advise if there are ground for appeal and cancelling it?

Please reinstate vehicle reg.mark and PCN number, and also post a GSV link to the location.

It's a brand new restriction, but as it happens I've already ordered the traffic order for another poster, so I should get it next week. I suggest you make a plea for discretion before midnight on Monday just to get the discount extended.
I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor or a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193 and I abide by the SPMF service standards.

How does one make this plea for restriction?

Yet another sign that springs up in front of you even though you've driven along this many times road before. What happens if you're approaching with it displaying 40 mph and it suddenly changes to "No Motor Vehicles" ?

You just say you're awfully sorry, you've learnt your lessons and you'll be a lot more careful in future, and please would they let you off on this occasion, or words to that effect.

Just checking to see if you have received the traffic order?

It's actually a really old restriction, maybe it's only the CCTV camera that's new?

The Newham (Prescribed Routes) (No. 3) Order 2012.

Can't see any issues with the traffic order. Have you made a representation?

My family member didn't make representation, just made plea for restriction.
