PCN! Enfield Council - Code 52M
« on: »
Hi All,

Any advice is appreciated and if anyone has had dealings with this before

I work mainly all over the South East and London and use my car a fair bit to deliver kit and bring kit with me whilst working

I finished in Enfield around roughly 3 and Google Maps took me on a diversion due to the A10 being buggered

I got the letter today to state I am in violation of 52M - Failure to comply with the prohibition of motor vehicles

I am not from Enfield and haven't frequently travelled around it unlike the other London Boroughs

Link below is of the PCN & the video

If anyone has any help then please let me know, if not I will suck up the £65 charge (bloody joke)

First off you need to change the setting on your Drive to Public, from Private, as it cannot be opened at present.

That’s all done. Hopefully

Which of the two cars in the video is yours ? I see that permit holders are allowed to pass it.

Your PCN is timed at 15.23 so well inside the restricted period in the afternoon

Goat Lane also has part of it restricted too: -

This is clearly designed for protection of school pupils and they can be seen in your video walking home.

At the moment, I can't see a winning appeal at London Tribunals on the basis of the contravention, but somebody on here may suggest a 'technical' appeal based on council mismanagement of the enforcement process.

Please post the actual pcn, both pages, cover only you name and address
I help you pro bono (for free). I now ask that a £40 donation is made to the North London Hospice before I take over your case. I have an 85% success rate across 2,000 PCNs but some PCNs can't be beaten and I will tell you if your case looks hopeless before asking you to donate.

Enfield seem to have fixed the pcn eording so no get out there. Pating the 50% seems sensible.

No problems, thanks for responding!

Will take this one on the chin and be less trusting of google maps in an area I don’t know 😅
