Hi all,

I’m after a bit of advice on a bus lane / bus gate PCN at Boar Lane / Mill Hill in Leeds.
I go through this area fairly regularly during the day and have never had any issues or fines there before. On this occasion, I drove through earlier in the morning than I normally would, as I was picking up a passenger, and I’ve now received a PCN.

There are signs there, so I’m not saying there’s no restriction. But from experience, it’s never been enforced when I’ve gone through during the day, so it gave me the impression it might be time-based rather than 24 hours.

At the time, I didn’t notice anything clearly indicating it was a 24-hour restriction.
Just trying to understand:
Is this actually a 24-hour bus gate?
Has anyone else had a PCN from this location?
Is there any argument around the signage or how it’s enforced?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks 👍

Please post-up the PCN, all sides with only name and address redacted.

There is a video, and we need to see it, as it is the sole evidence. Frankly, looking at Boar Lane on GSV, I'm astonished you drove past two bus lane signs in succession. However, the phot you have posted is not at the junction of Boar Lane and Mill Hill, but a bit further along. To get there you would have passed these signs: -

With no times the signs apply 24x7. I am astonished you say you have never received a PCN before, because GSV shows the signs in position in 2022 : -

At the moment, I see nothing wrong with the signage, but we need to see the video.
