3xPCN for parking in suspended bay - Kensington and Chelsea
« on: »
Hi, I recently received 3 tickets for parking in a suspended residents bay, it was suspended for 'gas works' 24 hours, Tuesday 12/11 to 14/11, which is odd as I should have received a call.

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

'Contravention: 21r Parked wholly or partly in a suspended bay or space - residents bay

Outside houses 18-20 on Phillimore gardens: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yKdKYGjgF5SzRPyM8

It was a late Sunday night, I parked my car without checking (I should have), and I left it in the bay without checking until Thursday to get in the car, where I walked up to it and seen 3 separate tickets

It feels unfair to have received 3 separate tickets for the same infringement and they didn't even need the bay since my car was not moved? I don't understand

I would like to get rid of any if possible, I noticed the 12/11 and 13/11 are within 24 hours of each other technically but I am unsure how it works or if its possible to get rid of them all

I have attached a link to: photos of the 3 fronts and one picture of the back (the backs are identical), and a picture of the suspension sign (check the PCNs on council website there are many clear photos)

Thank you in advance all

The second and third must be cancelled as this is a continuous contravention. If they needed the bay they could have impounded the car.

Looks bang to rights on where you parked with the sign nearby - were there wings on the back of the sign to help alert people?

I do not remember seeing any sort of 'wings' on the back of the sign, its a matter of me parking there at night and knowing its a residents bay so I just did not even check

When I challenge the PCN should I just write 'This is a continuous contravention so this must be cancelled, only the first ticket should apply'?

Thanks for the help

Yes, 2nd and 3rd can be challenged as not enforceable owing to only one contravention being made.

Wait for others to look at this.
