Lewisham School Street

So I saw the sign saying there are restrictions "ahead" but no signage where it actually starts. I assumed this sign was a pre-warning of a restriction some way ahead. I'm now expecting a PCN.

How is this correct?
I'm not a Londoner with these all over the place, first one I've seen with ANPR cameras etc. Surely they should have flashing lights in the corners of the signs when they are active? If they can afford cameras, they can afford lights. But then they wouldn't make any money....

Please have a read of this, and when the PCN arrives post it up and anything else requested.

In London there will be ANPR cameras at every "Flying Motorbike sign" Did you now know what the signs meant because you drove past them head-on with an advance warning sign that you clearly saw. The restriction signs can be seen in the distance on your GSV extract.

To answer your question, what you have posted is an advance warning, you are right.  But you can see where the restriction starts in this GSV link.  the latest version of GSV is 2025 where it looks as though the signs are blanked out, I would assume because that was during school holidays.  But by going back to 2024, you can see them in place and visible.
