TFL PCN - Moffat Road, Tooting - Stopping on Red Route
« on: »
Hi All,

I made the mistake of stopping in a red route whilst looking for parking. However, received a PCN through the post which pictures of the alleged offence spaced 1 second between each other. In my defence the vehicle was on and not parked and the wheels were pointed towards the road suggesting that I was just about to set off again.

PS: The Street View signage for the red route is outdated, it is now this https://imgur.com/a/YOdm10c

Do I have any case here?

See the PCN for how you contact TfL to get a DVD of their video record. This would halt progress of enforcement and enable us and you to verify your recollections.

Yes, they have introduced a Controlled Parking Zone that applies to any single-yellow signs within the zone. But the original Red Route sign still applies, because it controls a marked-out bay, the one you were in, presumably.
