Hi,
I bought my car on 7th Dec 23 & just received a ULEZ fine for the same day at 21.07pm. But I have been nowhere near London since I owned the car!. Is it possible that the timestamp and or date was wrong on the camera?
The fine shows a picture of my registration & the photo showing the front of my vehicle just has a stamp on it saying:
L733_11_0151 A3 Malden Way.
So either fake plates & a similar car, or the date/time is incorrect. As said, I've not been anywhere near London in the vehicle.
It is very coincidental though, that the fine is on the same day and approximately 6 hours after I bought the car.
I was going to contest, as the previous owner told me they were selling, to avoid ULEZ charges that they pay regularly when visiting his girlfriend.
Any suggestions on how to appeal this please, as I have no actual evidence & the car was bought on the same day as alleged offence, which i definitely didn't commit?
Thanks in advance,
Jas.
