Author Topic: Hounslow London code 45 Parked in Taxi rank Prince Regent Rd/outside Asda  (Read 373 times)

I parked at night outside of Asda to go to the gym, I read a sign next to the taxi rank allowing you to park for 40mins I arrived at 21:40 and left around 22:15. What I did not notice is where the taxi rank started and mistakenly parked one spot into the taxi rank.

I would normally just stomach the fine but the half price is extortionate at £80.

Despite the stopped wording on the PCN this is a no waiting contravention.

The bay needs a single yellow line which doesn't appear to be there.

I can't make out the roundel on the sign to see if it is waiting or stopping.

Note that the bay next to this is a no loading bay so you can't park there either.

And it's also a pedestrian zone - you can't drive in there anyway... Don't try and park there again.

Ok thank you for the help I appreciate your insight, at the time there were quite a few cars parked there also in the area that road is in constant use by lots of cars despite it being pedestrianised. I'm not from the area unfortunately.

You are at the 14 day mark - I can't see anything I'm afraid as a taxi bay operational at all times doesn't need a yellow kerb line.

See if anyone else has something.
