On 07/01/26, I received a PCN for parking in a bay that was temporarily suspended. I am resident so typically park on this road but a set of these bays were restricted due to temporary road works.

I did not see the restriction and wanted to see if there is a possibility for an appeal here?

PCN: ZN19754322

Reg No: YE08WYG

I have attached an image here from the PCN View Evidence:

Here is the parking restriction notice:

Here is how far I parked away from the notice:

Please post the PCN. How near is the suspension sign to where the car was parked ? In addition, the sign states the restriction starts on 7th January. When did you last check on your car ? A notice like this should have been put up about 5-7 days in advance.

Sure, I edited the original post and attached photos of the PCN along with how far I parked away from the notice. It's about five or so bays away.

I last checked on Saturday 4th, but since it's getting darker earlier I missed the sign - otherwise I would have moved it across the road. I'm not sure when they put the notice up.

As far as the contravention goes, the only avenue to explore is when they put the sign up. You were within the bay which has a single sign, on which the suspension sign was mounted, so it was in the right place. The suspension started on Wednesday 7th Jan, you last saw the car on Sunday 4th Jan. The sign should have been in place on that date, so I suggest you submit an informal challenge stating that when you checked your car on the 4th Jan, you saw no suspension sign, therefore request the PCN be cancelled.
