Havering Code 26

Hi, using my Blue Badge, I parked in a single yellow line area. The area is a cul-de-sac round the back of some shops.

I parked a bit away from the line but it made no material difference to traffic as it isn't a normal carriageway. As a disabled person I tend to try to leave a bit of space to get out without tripping on the kerb, I've been issued a ticket.

Havering's website is dreadful. Go onto it as if to challenged and screenshot the grounds please and report back.

Nice view of their policy etc, but Hippocrates needs to see what their web pages look like if you want to appeal the PCN. You have to screen-capture these, (Ctrl-Alt-PrtScr) and then paste into MS Paint, or whatever app you have,  to create a jpeg or other file so you can give us a link to them.  Appeals are now being won at London Tribunals based on incorrect statutory grounds for appeals on council websites.

As regards the contravention itself, it appears from the CEO's photos that you were not only 50cm away from the kerb on the driver side of the car, but 50cm away from the wall in front of your car. If you'd been up to the wall, (less than 50cm), you would have had an easy win.

That's a petty PCN and you should ask for discretion as a BB holder who often has to leave space. Doesn't look way over 50cm anyway and enforcing this in that dead end area would be vindictive.

Hi, here is the details on the informal challenge pages. I left the extra space at the front of the car because there were bins blocking the pavement and I wanted to leave enough room for pedestrians with buggies or wheelchair users to pass by.

Hi, the PCN was attached via a link in my first post, and I’m not sure what a VRM is? Do you mean you need the PCN number and the car registration? Only I redacted those because I thought that was what was necessary for confidentiality. If that’s what you need, please let me know and I will post it.
