Haringey, 46 stopped on red route - Ferndale Road N15
« on: »
Hello,
I was wondering what my chances of defence, if any.
I was on the red route and went out of my car to help a friend across the road loading his car. I just turned around and noticed two wardens at my car. I immediately drove away but the wardens told me the ticket will follow by post and indeed it did. I am not sure when they took the photos, if this was already whilst the car was moving away.
The PCN mentions the time of observation from 12:38 to 12:38, the timestamp on the pictures are 12:37:51 and 12:38:30 respectively. (The second one has me in the car)

Many thanks in advance for any advice that can help!

Please read this, and update your post accordingly: -

So, looking at the GSV view, I take it that you parked on the double-red lines. These mean "No Stopping" 24x7, but it does seem you were a bit unfortunate that two CEOs passed by. No observation is required for this contravention.

Anyway when we see the PCN, more advice can be given.

As I thought, PCN issued under the Traffic Management Act 2004, that introduced the power for a council to issue a postal PCN in cases of "drive-aways", where a PCN was in course of preparation, but the driver returned and drove off before it could be served. The PCN goes to the name and address on the V5C Registration Certificate.

How long were you parked there ?  I have to say, I can't see anything leaping out as an appeal argument, maybe others can.
