Trafford Box Junction PCN
« on: »
Hi All,

First time user, recommended by a user on the MSE site to post here.

The evidence is compelling, but can anyone see any irregularities with the issuing of it, which can be used for an appeal.

Registration number is MX67 ZNT and the PCN number is TR8049166A. Evidence can be viewed on pcnportal.trafford.gov.uk

I'm sure these cameras are new. This junction is extremely busy and you'll see from the video evidence that the junction gets full from another direction, meaning no cars from the way I came can fit in the lane I needed. It would mean waiting there on a few cycles of the lights until no cars are entering from the other direction.

Many thanks for any help offered.

and post up here (not every expert here will go hunting around the council site)
(use
ibb.co or https://imgpile.com/
for posting images.
Wherever possible, use the BBCode.)

all sides of the  PCN (only redact yr name & address - leave everything else in),
any council photos/video (this is the evidence),
and
a GSV link to the location.

These absolutely massive YBJs are a scam as we all know. How one can even see if there is space on the other side is beyond me ! However central government are completely supine on stuff like this, so it will continue until politicians get a lot of PCNs from them. The YBJ is flawed as it is supposed to be at the junction of 2 or more roads, but here the start is about 4 metres away from the actual junction. However, I don't think that is a winning argument frankly.

When traversing huge YBJs like this, and with no escape at the other side, it's always best to tootle slowly across, in the hope that the traffic will move on. You absolutely rushed across as if your life depended on it. Not good. Anyway, please post-up all of the PCN with only name and address redacted, and also give us a GSV link to the exa t location. What the motorist sees is not the same as their camera.
