I parked in a residential bay in Enfield town to return to see that I have been given a ticket for parking in a residential only bay. My understanding from Enfield Councils website is that I am allowed to park in residential only slots displaying a disabled badge.

Am I missing something?

https://www.enfield.gov.uk/services/parking/disabled-persons-parking-permits.

The website states
In Enfield, you can park for an unlimited time in the following areas:

Car parks:
Disabled bay
Pay to park bay
On-street:
Pay to park bay
Resident permit only bay

Yes - the PCN number and VRM.

Registration Mark - HT24XUO - PCN - EF15857545

Looks like you were in a business permit bay?

It's a harsh one that they should consider for discretion but may have been pressure on spaces.

I assume the rules do not apply for business permits? Therefore even with a disabled badge you are not entitled to park in these spots?

I will appeal tomorrow on the ground you suggest and see what they say, it’s 50/50 and yes there was no parking anywhere.

Got a response from Enfield, seems you are entitled to park in business parking bays.
