Hi all,
I parked on St John Street in Manchester City Centre at around 19:38 on a Saturday evening. I paid for 30 mins parking to cover until 8pm, after which I believed it was free to park until 8am.
I challenged the PCN and they have rejected it.
I just want to clarify if I am in the right or not? If not I will happily pay the £70, but I am just not sure! They are correct, there is a single yellow line going across the parking bays.
This is the info on Manchester Gov website:
Number of bays:
29
Zone:
Zone 2 - Monday to Sunday, 8am till 8pm, with no charge for parking on a Bank Holiday.
Restrictions:
Pay & Display 2 Hours, No Return Within 1 Hour
Cost:
up to 30 minutes - £1.45
up to 1 hour - £2.90
up to 1 hour 30 minutes - £4.30
up to 2 hours - £5.80
See how to pay by phone for your on street parking
I have attached my appeal rejection letter and the parking meter.
Also, there is definitely a single yellow line in the photos of my car that the warden took. They aren't there on street view so must be fairly new.
