I received the PCN as shown in links below:

My only defence is that I am new to the area, I was parked on Elmwood Rd and was looking to get my orientation right for my navigation app (meaning that I was trying to face the right direction.

I also received another contravention less than 10 minutes late for a similar contravention in the same council which I will post separately. Again, my only defence is that I am new to the area but is there something in case law which means that you cannot be charged with the same offence on the same day ?

Please screenshot the website and rep[ort back. It is useless and this can be used at the Tribunal. I have looked just now and won a case on it recently.

Hi @Hippocrates, thank you for the referral to the previous case

As a newbie I'm not sure I've fully understood the grounds that the case was worn but think it's related to he website being inadequate.

In that particular case, did you show up in person or was this an online appeal of a decision to POPLA?

On what grounds should I appeal the ticket on the council website and anything else to note based on the images of the council website I have uploaded ?

Apologies for the multiple questions.

POPLA is nothing to do with council PCNs, it handles appeals against private parking tickets issued by parking companies.

They have fixed their website issues unfortunately. I did attend in person but it was a parking contravention. Now hearings are held by video and/or telephone.

First video: several vehicles go through which suggests there is not adequate warning signage?

Second video: does not show sign allegedly passed. Warning signage in place?

Hi @Hippocrates,

The 14 day period is ending tomorrow so just checking if am I resigned to paying up based on the street view images shared? I will accept my losses and mark this down as a costly mistake.

Thanks
