Good Evening,

I received a PCN on 01/02/2025 for parking "in a carpark without clearly displaying a valid pay & display ticket or voucher or parking clock".

I had used paybyphone to pay for parking but had selected my own car rather than my partners (both cars are saved on the app) which I was driving at the time.

The carpark in question in the one next to the Parkland Gateway one next to the swimming pool, https://maps.app.goo.gl/NYQJLXy5SfbtDbCi8

I was looking to appeal, providing the receipt I have for the parking. Is there anything else I need to be aware of or would be worth including.

Thanks in advance.

I had a look at their enforcement policy on their website, as shown on the PCN. Look for the "Parking Services - Civil Parking Enforcement Protocol"

It is not very encouraging for your circumstances as it states in 3.28 Pay and display: -

Quote
Pay by Phone - motorists in Kettering who claim that they used pay by phone will need to show or provide a receipt from the Pay by Phone company and the PCN will usually be cancelled. PCN’s issued as a result of the motorist selecting an incorrect location code or inputting their vehicle registration number incorrectly will not usually be cancelled. (my underline)

However, don't be put off submitting a challenge, being very careful to not be confrontational, as they do use the word 'usually'.
