Charge Certificate for driving in restricted zone

Hello,

I had received a charge notice for driving in a restricted school zone on the 10th of October, and I paid the reduced penalty within 14 days of the notice.

I just received a new charge certificate letter today stating that I had entered the restricted zone on October 3rd also and that as I had not paid within the 28 days,  they are charging me £240 and I do not have the right to appeal. I was not aware of this violation as I did not receive any letters regarding it as, if I had, I would have paid it within the 14 days like the other violation...

Is there any way I can appeal on the basis that I did not receive any notification and to be allowed to pay the reduced amount of £80?

The location in question is Central Park Road E6 / Compton Avenue E6

Bus driving since 1973. My advice, if you have a PSV licence, destroy it when you get to 65 or you'll be forever in demand.

As long as you follow the process and stick to deadlines the PCN will be re-issued to you and you are placed back in the position as if you had just received it - so  discount period and the opportunity to either pay or to make reps against the PCN..
