I parked in a permit holders only zone on a Saturday. The sign stated:
'Resident permit holders only Mon-Fri 8:30am-6:30pm Sat 8:30am-1:30pm'

The contravention states 'Parked in a resident or shared use parking place or zone without a valid virtual permit or clearly displaying a valid physical permit or voucher or pay and display ticket issued for that place where required, or without payment of the parking charge'

From my understanding I was eligible to park after 1:30pm if i am not a permit holder. The PCN stated that the vehicle was observed from 13:28-13:39. Does this mean that I was parked for 2 minutes in an area where I shouldn't have been parked? (from 13:28 - 13:30)

I have reviewed the evidence and all the photos were taken after 13:40.

I am planning to appeal but I would like some advice on the best wording for challenging the PCN

It sounds like the PCN has been issud in error as the time it is issued is what counts not earlier observation.

Post the PCN and council pics so we can check.

Please see attached the PCN as well as the council evidence pictures.

This looks cut and dried. But wait a bit in case we've missed something.

Dear Camden,

the contravention did not occur. The PCN was issued at 13:39 but the bay restriction on Saturday 17 May 2025 ended at 13:30.

As the PCN was issued in error I look forward to your early confirmation of cancellation.
