I can't see a case I'm afraid.
Manual says:
“Pay and display” signs may include the symbols in S4‑5 where parking is of a specific type.
Symbols include bus.
Camden has a bus P&D traffic order for two bays outside the hotel, and the tribunal decision below indicates you'd be on a loser.
You can of course try an ask for discretion - what was the reason for parking?

Reasons
The Appellant has not attended. They were notified that the hearing would take place today at 12:15pm by correspondence dated 5 March 2025.
I considered adjourning the appeal but decided that it was not in the interests of justice to delay the hearing of this appeal further.
The Authority's case is that the Appellant's vehicle was parked in a parking place not designated for that class of vehicle (buses only) when in Bedford Way on 14 December 2024 at 12.27.
The Appellant's case is that the location appeared to be a pay to park bay for motor vehicles.
I have considered the evidence and I find that the Appellant's vehicle was parked in a parking place not designated for that class of vehicle (buses only) when in Bedford Way on 14 December 2024.
The definition of a bus is to be found in the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 and reads as follows: "bus" means a motor vehicle constructed or adapted to carry more than 8 passengers (exclusive of the driver),
I find, as a fact, that the Appellant's vehicle is a motorcar and it is settled law that a motorcar is not a bus.
Further, I find that the signage at this location is compliant with the regulations and indicates the restriction. The fact that the Appellant paid to park there is not a defence or an exemption.
Payment may well have been taken, however, it does not follow that the parking payment app knows what motor vehicle is being paid for or where the location actually is.
All such matters raised by the Appellant go to mitigating circumstances, which have been considered by the Authority they do not raise an exemption or a defence.
The Adjudicator decides appeals by making findings of fact and applying the law as it stands. The Adjudicator has no power to quash a penalty charge on the basis of mitigation submitted.
The appeal is refused.
