Author Topic: Kingston-upon-Thames - Fairfield Road - 12r Parked in a residents parking place without a valid permit  (Read 438 times)

Hi All,

Not particularly hopeful here but I have fallen victim to one of Kingston's most lucrative PCN spots - Fairfeld Road.

Usually diligent with signs but failed to read the text at the base of the sign stating permit only after 6:30pm.

Interestingly the Google Maps waypoint on the evidence provided (see related image) is in the wrong place by quite a distance.

Would there be any chance of a procedural impropriety or other grounds of appeal here? Or best to pay.

Thank you.

I can't see anything to go on. Why did you park there?

Me neither.

Basically, in London, one needs to read a parking sign from top to bottom, as restrictions are all over the place and one can get caught out if the full sign is not read.

Agreed, lesson learnt.

But I'm not alone:
The most lucrative street in Kingston for parking fines has raked in more than £100,000 for the council.
