Bull Lane N18 Bus Gate
« on: »
Hi all

We received a pcn for this contravention but we have no recollection of this road or the bus gate. We've been back to the road and this bus gate doesn't exist. Not really sure what to do or how to appeal. The evidence doesn't show clearly the number plate so inclined to think mistaken identity maybe? Any thoughts on this?

Your links don't work, probably because you have cut-and-pasted them. You need to re-post them afresh here.

It looks like you have fallen foul of this new scheme: -

GSV view is not up-to-date, so you'd need to take photos that could show bad signing. Their sole evidence is a video, so you and us need to see it.  It may be possible to download it from their website.

What do you mean the bus gate doesn't exist? I can see it quite clearly in the footage?

Also is this vehicle owned, or is it a hire or lease vehicle?

Do you have any real reason to believe it's a case of mistaken identity, for example can you show that the vehicle would have been somewhere else at the time?

Thanks for your replies. The car is owned privately. When I say it doesn't exist we have been to the road and couldn't find it. We will pass there again tomorrow and see again. The missus says she has never been down this road hence maybe mistaken identity but not sure of her part tbh. There has been many detours in the area recently due to massive traffic jams etc.

It is hardly unprecedented for the council to get a location wrong, so do revisit the road and let us know what you find.

Also, please check if your partner has location tracking enabled on her phone, this might show that at the relevant time she wasn't at the location alleged.

The missus didn't have time to go and check the road and since I was out of London for a few days she decided to pay the fine. Thanks for your help anyway.
