Hi there! I recently received the PCN for: 53J Failing to comply with a restriction on vehicles entering a pedestrian zone (camera enforcement). Do I stand any chance with an appeal?

PCN:

Images from council online evidence showing the signs:

I have been back to the location and now see a small sign on the left side of the road that shows there is a restriction between those hours, but it's not very obvious when driving. When you approach the turn itself from The Ridgeway into Bethune Avenue, it's also a very tight angle to see the signs. What's also interesting is that you'll see from the pictures below that they've turned the signs out of the hours when you can get a ticket.

Please see attached some pictures from the location:

Apologies I only have until this Friday to appeal.

Many thanks for your advice!

You've blanked the VRM so I can't post the video.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

Does this help even though I stopped it before the number plate is shown?

Why on earth are you so hung up on the numberplate ? It's on display all the time you drive around or park in a public place. On this forum, we used PCN Number and car reg to view videos and photos taken by the councils, as some OPs can't manage to do this.
Of course, name and address should never be on view.

Ah thanks for explaining! I'm just being (overly) cautious!

Here are the three images from the council website and sharing the video again:

Are there any advance signs on the side road - cases are won at the tribunal on turning into a restriction if the adjudicator thinks it isn't clear enough.

@stanmfordman - This sign is located on the left hand sign I'd say about 20m before the turn, definitely not the clearest to see when you're driving!

But the sign is there, and also in the format I think is the best. There also doesn't seem to be anything nearby that might obscure it.  Of course a high-sided vehicle parked on that side could obscure it, but you would have to make the case that that was why you didn't see it.
