Hi,

We had tree cutting outside our house and we moved our cars throughout that time. A few days after they finished, we parked our cars back without realising the spaced out signs were still up. The next day a tow truck appeared and was about to take our cars away. He left us a £65 parking fine - at which point we realised the signs were still up.

It's clear he was just on duty and going around looking for other opportunities to charge fines, as there was no reason for the signage to be there apart from the fact they hadn't had time to remove it.

We pay for the parking spaces so it should not be taken away for longer than necessary for such works.

I didn't think to take a photo until the next day, of the area showing the pruned trees.

Any advice please about how to dispute this one? I gather councils are told to give fines wherever they can to raise monies, even if it's not justified.

Many thanks in advance.

and post up here
both sides of the unredacted PCN,
any Council photos,
and
a GSV link to the location.,
