PCN - Spon St, Coventry City Center

Hi, I received a PCN for accidently parking in a taxi rank on 07/12/2024. It was a genuine mistake on my part. It was dark out, raining and visibility was reduced slightly. I also have a blue badge which I put out believing it was a standard parking space. I was parked for around 50 minutes but I know this will make little difference.

I have to say I have doubts about the marking of this taxi bay. I'm sure there needs to be a broad yellow line to delineate it, but here there is just a dashed line. Others more knowledgeable than me will either confirm my view or say, "No it's OK", so wait a bit to see other contributions.

Thank you for the reply, yes that's the place.

It's a no waiting not a no stopping bay so no broad yellow clearway line needed.

Suffix w after code 45:

w) amends the contravention code description to change the wording from ‘stopped’ to ‘waiting’

Plea for discretion best as a BB holder.
