My son was playing cricket at Enfield Cricket Club one evening earlier this week, and I parked up around 5.45pm. Adjacent with the ground is Lincoln Road and I found myself getting confused with the parking restrictions.

There's a yellow line which imposes a waiting restriction between 8am and 9.30am Mon-Fri. Overlaying the yellow line is a long parking bay which has operational hours 9.30am to 6.30pm (this was on Tuesday rather than at the weekend). Usually with a parking bay I'd expect to see some sort of qualification, e.g. permit holders only, or max stay 1 hour. But here there's no apparent qualification. So can anyone park there for as long as they like while the bay is in operation? If so, what's the point of the bay as the yellow line doesn't apply after 9.30am.
Can anyone clear this one up for me as I'll be back there before too long!
It's in a CPZ and I presume they've put the yellow line 8am-9.30am in the free bay to stop commuter parking in the morning Mon-Fri.
The times on the plate for parking match the CPZ minus the Mon-Fri early hours.
