Have any members met other members in real life?
« on: »
Just a thought, with so many people on here and on the old Pepipoo site, has anybody actually met others face-to-face?

I remember meeting up with a PPP member local to me when i had a case at Tribunal in Ashford about 12 years ago. He won his case, I won mine. I've not heard of the chap since, I think his name on PPP was Boggy. The guy before us obviously lost as there was a lot of shouting, table thumping and door slamming when he left the room. The adjudicator took a few minutes to compose himself.
Bus driving since 1973. My advice, if you have a PSV licence, destroy it when you get to 65 or you'll be forever in demand.

Bogsy?

Yes, I have met A_F.
I am not qualified to give legal advice in the UK. While I will do my best to help you, you should not rely on my advice as if it was given by a lawyer qualified in the UK.

More than a hundred I would say. As for the other two Musketeers, how long is a piece of string? Our administrator does close on 1,000 cases a year I believe - met by phone mostly I guess.  ;D

I AM ABLE TO TAKE ON MORE CASES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE LONDON TRIBUNALS. I HATE RETIREMENT.

cp8759 and mrmustard are true geniuses. I know my place in the hierarchy of The Three Musketeers. 😊 "The Clinician", "The Gentleman" and "The Showman"

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

I don’t.

I could reduce his cases  if he wishes to give me the easy ones.  ;D

Possibly Bogsy. IMO he knew his stuff and taught me the law re disabled parking in loading bays. (Oakstar thread).

I represented at PATAS years ago a case just after a guy threw the papers at the learned A MacFarlane and used the f and c words. The senior security officer (who is a really nice guy) dealt with it admirably.

When I walked in I said this: "Sir, I can assure you that I will not conduct myself as the last appellant did.!"

My clearly very subtle point was that there are two administrators - CP and myself.

Sorry about that. I even conflated my daughter's and grand daughter's Christian names the other day. Otherwise, I think I still qualify to go to Carnival Furnival Street.  ;D

Yes, plenty of times, either at the tribunal hearing centre or the High Court.
I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor or a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193 and I abide by the SPMF service standards.
