What happens if you get “summons of court”?

received a summons for speeding and failed to provide driver information. What happens in court? Will I get a penalty ?

What happens? On this site, nothing unless we have some meaningful information.

Please tell us the full story starting with the alleged offence, and details of all correspondence.

I had filled out the driver's information online, but I don't know why it never reached them.(maybe internet problem)That's why they sent me to court. Offended for not providing information and speeding.

What is the date of the original offence? What is the date of the SJPN? Were you driving? Do you have a copy of the submission, and /or a receipt for it? What is the alleged speed / limit? Do you already have points?

OP, all of the above. As already stated, we need the full story.

And do you really have a "summons"? Does it actually say that?

Look again at the s172 request for driver information.

Did it allow you to nominate yourself online as the driver, or should you have completed, signed, and sent back the paper form?

Or were you simply trying to name someone else as the driver?

The simple answer to the OP is yes, possibly, it can be VERY expensive financially as well as up to 9 points, that is why we need more details to help you.
