Just joined after much searching and need a little advice

August 23rd 2023 I received a NIP from Nottinghamshire police for 37 in a 30, next day I filled out the online forms and paid the £100 fine.

Yesterday I received an SJPN from Notts police stating I did not supply my license details to the regional fixed penalty office. Sadly the only paperwork I can find is the original NIP but not the page requesting me to send my details in the post separately.

I emailed the Notts safety Camera Partnership asking for clarification and they replied this morning:

Good morning

Thank you for your email and attachment.

 

I can confirm that payment of £100 was made on 05th September 2023.  However, your Driving Licence does not seem to have been received at the Regional Fixed Penalty Office for the mandatory three penalty points to be endorsed.  On page three of the Fixed Penalty, it explains where and how to surrender your Driving Licence details.  A copy of the Conditional Offer of a Fixed Penalty is attached for your records.

 

The £100 was refunded to yourself on 14th December2023.  For further information regarding the refund please contact the Regional Fixed Penalty Office by telephone on 01509 215715.

 

Regarding the Court paperwork you have received, unfortunately there is nothing further this office can do.  If you have any further queries, please contact Nottingham Magistrates’ Court’s helpline by telephone on 0300 303 0656 or makeaplea.justice.gov.uk.

Does this mean I will now get a criminal record and presume a larger fine and points?

Eh? The OP hasn't said they provided the details?

This reads as if the OP paid against the NIP not the conditional Offer? Does a NIP ask for licence details for endorsement?

You don’t “pay an NIP” though, you pay a conditional fixed penalty offer. So, did you receive one of those?

The normal process is that you name yourself as the driver and the police then send you a conditional fixed penalty offer. Is that what happened?

Some forces use a ‘combined’ form, which does allow you to pay upfront but I’m only aware of Avon & Somerset doing that.

Regardless, if you didn’t comply with the conditions you’ll end up in court, where you can ask to be sentenced at the fixed penalty level.

then got offer in post and paid online

Did you, or did you not submit your licence details after you paid the £100?
