NIP dates

My wife has received 2 NIP today dated 13/3/25 the date of first offence 31/1/25 which also has a error with her name the second offence date is 11/02/25 does she have grounds for appeal with the dates being over 28 days

Without telling us your wife's relationship to the vehicle it will be impossible for anyone to advise.

Are her details correct (and current) on her V5C? What is the date after the DocRef. No. at the bottom of page 2 of her V5C?

This, together with the delay could indicate that the police got her details from somewhere other than the DVLA. Can you think of a reason why that might be necessary?

And there you have the answer (eventually). So forget any late NIP defence and get her to get on and admit being the (assuming she was).
