A60 Woodhouse Rd, Nr Haddon Rd, Mansfield - over 30mph
« on: »
Hi All,
I hope you are well.
I have a notice from Notts police.
I wanted to download the photographic evidence but the Notice No, my postcode and the reg number does not work on their website.
Does the access expire before the deadline or something?

In FAQ section they provide a contact email address and I can email to ask what's wrong with this penalty notice however they ask for DOB and I don't feel like I want to send my sensitive details to some mailbox.

This is the camera in question.

You cannot even see the double yellow line.
Moreover this camera is behind a tree. This street view is from autumn/winter time when there are no leaves on that tree.

Is contacting them by email the only option?
Please advise.
Thank you

Lines on the road are irrelevant, this type of camera uses buried sensors. You can just about see the old lines, presumably it used to be an older GATSO at some point. There is no defence in having the camera hidden.

Right, this one is Sentio Shield.
I don't see any problems with the notice, the dates and times are correct on the paperwork and photos.

Checked the calibration certificate, didn't expire.
I wonder how do they perform these simulated speed checks at 80 and 100mph.

What was your alleged speed?

You asked if the links expire, they can do. How long ago was the offence and how long have you had your request for driver information.

This needs to be completed irrespective of whether you have seen the pictures or not.

With regard to the calibration checks, unless you were doing 80 or 100mph it is probably of no use knowing.

I have managed to login to see the evidence.
The issue was on my part as I was typing my "post code" not passcode.
Recently I have been entering my post code many times to some other online form and developed this mental glitch.

The alleged speed is 38mph.
The date on the letter is 8th of July.

Thank you

Presumably no issues with what you have seen on the site?

That speed would normally qualify for a speed awareness course if eligible. Otherwise 3pts and £100, assuming the driver is currently on less than 9pts.
