please help, I was away and not living at home have opened my mail today , upon discovery recieved a court claim form dated 11 aug from civil national business centre, I realise from reading up that an extension was required within 14 days to turn it in to 28 days to respond or file a defence, after numerous attempts I managed to log in to the mcil site and discovered A judgment was issued against you on 07/09/2026 at 19:14:11, so now I need to help and advice on how this can be overturned potentially with a n244 to set aside I am entitled to help with fees I think

Claim issued 11 Aug, Default Judgment entered 7 Sep, I was away and just found it. Need help drafting an N244 application and a draft defence to stop DCB Legal I think i will need a witness statement and draft defence attached

I can upload the claim form and screen shot of mcol... I can't believe these Bas****'s move this quick

original fine/invoice was generated in a 1 hour free carpark in edgware as they said parked in a disabled bay without a time card shown, this was appealed giving the correct drivers details at the time, and explaining the time card could have been misjudged on closing the door, even though drivers details were furnished they choose to ignore and went straight to court!!!

can some1 please help with a step by step im really not good at this stuff

You have to decide on your course of action.
  • Pay >£300 to get the judgment set aside, for which you will have to convince the courts that you have a viable defence, and you may not get the fee back even if you win the case
  • Pay the amount within 30 days of the judgment and have any record removed from your credit record
The timescales are that you have to respond to a claim withing 14+5 days, or the claimant will apply for a judgment in default against you.

If you want help with a defence for the set aside then you need to post documents such as the original Notice to Keeper.
