Civil Enforcement Costco Wembley
« on: »
Hi all,

New to this forum  :)

I have received a PCN from Civil Enforcement for parking 3 hours and 6 minutes at Costco in Wembley and they have stated that the limit is 2.5 hours (90 minutes on event days).

Both my elderly mother and I had an eye exam on that day at Costco as well as a large shop afterwards. My mother finds it difficult to walk so it took longer for the shop.

Civil Enforcement have sent a standard letter stating that a £100 parking charge is due which is reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.

How should I go about appealing this?

Thanks in advance!

What have the management at Costco said about this? Does your mother have a Blue Badge?

Both Civil Enforcement and Costco are required to make reasonable adjustments for people with protected characteristics under the Equality Act. Failing to do so could amount to unlawful disability discrimination.

Thanks @b789, I contacted Costco explaining the circumstances and their management team cancelled the ticket after about a week.
