thank you, i have now put the documents with the relevant fields edited etc in an email to address stated, i will update as this progresses along. I have been emailed back to notify they have received my email. Pic included

Hope you’re all ok and enjoying the weather we are having, just received a new letter after filing the defence and here it is. Is it best to take no notice of this.

Boilerplate response. If they included a copy of their N180 DQ, the read on:

Having received your own N180 (make sure it is not simply a copy of the claimants N180), do not use the paper form. Ignore all the other forms that came with it. you can discard those. Download your own here and fill it in on your computer. You sign it by simply typing your full name in the signature box.

Here are the answers to some of the less obvious questions:

• The name of the court is "Civil National Business Centre".

• To be completed by "Your full name" and you are the "Defendant".

• C1: "YES"

• D1: "NO". Reason: "I wish to question the Claimant about their evidence at a hearing in person and to expose omissions and any misleading or incorrect evidence or assertions.
Given the Claimant is a firm who complete cut & paste parking case paperwork for a living, having this case heard solely on papers would appear to put the Claimant at an unfair advantage, especially as they would no doubt prefer the Defendant not to have the opportunity to expose the issues in the Claimants template submissions or speak as the only true witness to events in question.."

• F1: Whichever is your nearest county court. Use this to find it: https://www.find-court-tribunal.service.gov.uk/search-option

• F3: "1".

• Sign the form by simply typing your full name for the signature.

When you have completed the form, attach it to a single email addressed to both dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk and info@dcblegal.co.uk and CC in yourself. Make sure that the claim number is in the subject field of the email.

Thank you very much I’ll take my laptop to sunny ingoldmells this weekend and have a look at this, and I appreciate the guidance and to be honest I enjoy the fighting spirit of this forum.

I don’t see any N180 DQ form of any form, I will include pics of the forms that have come with the letter. Do I still need to fill in the form online via your link, or just leave it. Many thanks

What you are showing us is a copy of the Claimants N180 DQ. It is a form that the court uses for administration of the claim. You have received a copy of the claimants form as both parties are required to send a copy of everything they send to the court, to the other party. I provided you with advice on exactly how to submit your own N180 DQ and how to answer the not so obvious questions in the form.

Can I ask what do I put for.
E1, is that my details ??

F2 =no ???
F3=no ???
G1 = yes ???

Under where I sign is it me that fills in the “legal representative for the” bit ??

Sorry I’m not used to this but I am learning a bit on here

You just sign it by typing your full name. You are not represented. You are defending it yourself as a layperson. so don't tick that box. Just tick the "Defendant" box.

E1... Obviously, it will be you, the defendant, that is attending the mediation call, unless you want someone else to take it for you. It is not part of the judicial process and no judge is involved. Your next door neighbour or anyone you want can take the call. Just make sure that you tell them to offer £0 and not discuss anything else.

I'm sure that everything else is self explanatory.

I've already explained how to send the form.

Great stuff I already sent it but ticked the representative box, does that matter or is there anything I can do to resolve this. So I will get a call from the court, will I be given a date and time for this as I struggle for signal where I am at work.

It's not big deal but needs to be corrected as this not signed with a Statement of Truth (SoT). Email the court dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk, CC in info@dcblegal.co.uk and yourself, to comply with CPR 1.3 and 1.4 (overriding objective and cooperation) and attach the corrected N180 with the "Legal representative for the" box unticked.

Make sure the email subject has the claim number in it. Include a short message explaining the correction:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I write in relation to the above claim. I recently submitted my N180 Directions Questionnaire but inadvertently ticked the box indicating that I am legally represented.

I confirm that I am a litigant in person and not legally represented. Please find attached a corrected version of the N180 for the court’s records.

I apologise for any confusion caused.

Yours faithfully,

[Your Full Name]

[Your Address]
[Claim Number]
