Appeal Refused, Should I escalate to IAS.
« on: »
Hi,
Someone has been parked in my allocated bay for several months, so I parked in a space next to mine instead. That space is managed by the same company, and there is no signage indicating that the two areas operate under different names or rules( they are literally next to each other).
Despite this, I received a parking ticket. I don’t think it’s fair to be penalised when I had to park somewhere else when my own bay was occupied. I submitted an appeal, but it was rejected.
They are now advising me to escalate the appeal to the IAS. In your opinion, what are the chances of success if I proceed? Is it worth pursuing further?

Welcome to FTLA.

To help us provide the best advice, please read the following thread carefully and provide as much of the information it asks for as you are able to: READ THIS FIRST - Private Parking Charges Forum guide

As this is a residential case it would also be useful to know:
  • Exactly what your lease says about parking
  • Whether the space that the driver parked in (instead of your bay) was a visitor bay, or somebody else's allocated bay
