Doesn't really matter as it was unlikely you would have been successful at POPLA with the appeal grounds you used with Parkingeye. Nothing more you can do now until a letter of claim turns up which you can't afford to ignore. When that arrives come back here for further advice.

Oh ok, thanks for the clarification, will do.

I've heard nothing on this since January 2026 and now out of the blue I've received a Claim Form from HM Courts & Tribunals Service (see attached 8 pages).

I'm short on time as it says I need to respond within 14 days of the day of service and I'm about to go on holiday so the deadline will fall within that time. Can anyone help please?

As it's so long since this topic was started and has remained dormant since, do I need to start a new one to ensure it's seen?

EDIT: I've repeatedly tried to embed the images as I've done previously but it's not working. For now, here are the links. I will keep trying.

It looks as though I've mucked up on this one and will just have to pay? Is that right? :'(

NOTE: I've embedded the images from Imgbb but for some reason they're not showing up. I'll keep trying.

You can submit an Acknowledgment of Service within 14+5 days from the date on the N1SDT claim form, giving you an additional 14 days before you have to file a defence. It says this.

Please do NOT start a new thread, as you haven’t.

If you will still be on holiday 28+5 days from the date on the form, you need to find a way of writing and submitting a defence.

Your defence needs to be more specific on why the NtK fails to meet the requirements of PoFA 2012, for example.

Thanks for the quick reply @jfollows, that's helpful, and I've just spotted that in the Response pack (still trying to upload images. Sometimes it works here, sometimes not).

Will any additional costs be added on if I defend the claim and lose? Or will it stay at the total amount shown on the Claim Form of £215 (£130 amount claimed + £35 court fee and £50 legal representative's costs).

The good news is that your original Notice to Keeper from Parking Eye is an NtK which the County Court has already established as being non compliant for the purposes of POFA keeper liability.

Your defence should centre on that point.

Subsequent to that court case, PE updated their NtK wording.

That Court Order is here;

Thanks @InterCity125, that's reassuring to hear. That's how I responded to Parking Eye's original NtK thanks to @b789.

I've extended my time to reply and will take a closer look once I'm back from holiday.

No problem.

We can help you with a short and sweet defence once you get back.

@InterCity125 I'm now back so would appreciate some help with that "short and sweet defence" please. I need to respond by tomorrow (9 September) so I hope it's not too short notice. Thanks in advance!
