Dear team,

I had to go overseas for emergency and had to take all family with me kids wanted to buy gifts etc for the family overseas so decided to go for a shopping at Grove Farm Retail Park Chadwell Heath. RM6 4B

I spent more then £200 as kids wanted to buy some gifts and food toys etc. We spent more then 120 minutes and spent extra time around 35 minutes. This entire time was spent only for shopping and shopping only in two store.
1. Home bargain - gift , Toys , Clothes etc
2. Liddle for normal home groceries etc

Both receipt shows that I have paid at till around 19:25 which is 10 minutes before i loaded everything including put all kids in seats etc and left at 19:35 . My entry was 17:00 approx

I knew this i am late and contacted given number on board to inform that might help as this was advised after speaking to staff at till that we have spent a bit longer here. Number didnt responded. perhaps too late.

I was boarding for almost 21 days so i had an idea that i might get ticket so if i do i will challenge it and will give presentation submit purchasing proof etc. I gave my home keys to my brother to check behind me for any letters that may need attention specially this ticket.

days passed he paid visits to check if everything is ok and check for ticket - Nothing -

I came back got my mail no sign of any ticket at all.
Mid July i get Final notice letter through post with absolutely no way to contact G24 as they now were demanding £100 pounds and also its final notice ... I was quite upset on this as i didnt receive anything in mail at all. I had their link from the previouse link which i used to submit my response online which they didnt provide in this letter of final notice. as well as next day or so i sent response with proof submitting online and explanation letter along with signed for delivery to their PO Box address.

I didnt hear from them at all until today. the letter from them is now asking £60 pounds and letter is dated 22 july 2025 which i have received today 21 aug 2025.

In this letter they are giving me only two options

1. Pay
2. IAS
3. Dont do anything we will take you to court

circumstances : My mrs have back problem i cant rush her to do alot of shoping when we are about to go in day or two overseas. I had 4 children with me to make sure they are happy to buy everything they want when they are traveling. Also i need to make sure i read each item before i buy to ensure that had nothing in it against my religion.

How is it fair to put parking charge on someone who is a genuine buyer and spent all the time only on their premises to make purchase?

I have spoken to Store manager by going to the same shop today to check if he can contact and get this ticket gone. He email me straight away asking send me copies of Receipt of that day which i have now sent to him. i am not sure what will be result.

I need advice at this point i have only one option to appeal and that is IAS.

I received a letter today in mail which is saying pay up in 14 days and its already 30 days plus when i have received this letter as today is 21 aug - so i am thinking i may get CCJ or Bailiff letter to get their charges...

I dont understand where is my fault on this and why i am being charged for spending time when spending money at their own stores / Land - why they dont put pay and display and we can pay their after 2 hours or so. why i am on time track to finish everything with in given time etc. it all seems to be just way to stupid. amount of time spent here and requesting getting ticket cancelled is just unbelievable...

if you can please advice what i should do that will be very very helpful.

Kind regards,
W.

You will need to answer these questions before you get definitive advice on how to handle this.

1. Content of Representations

• What exactly did you submit in your online and postal representations to G24?
• Did you include any narrative or explanation that might imply who was driving the vehicle?
• Were the receipts or supporting documents accompanied by any wording that could be interpreted as coming from the driver rather than the keeper?

2. Identification of Driver

• At any point in your communications with G24, did you explicitly name or identify the driver?
• Did you use pronouns like “I” or “we” in a way that could suggest the keeper was also the driver?
• Have you ever confirmed or implied that the keeper was present at the location during the time of the alleged contravention?

3. Supporting Evidence

• Are the receipts and other documents clearly attributable to the driver’s activity, without linking them to the keeper?
• Did you include any witness statements, store manager correspondence, or third-party verification that supports the driver’s presence and actions?

4. Timeline and Postal Issues

• Can you confirm the exact dates you were overseas and when you returned?
• Who was monitoring your post during your absence, and how frequently?
• Did you retain proof of your signed-for postal submission to G24 (e.g. tracking number, delivery confirmation)?

5. Appeal Status

• Did G24 ever acknowledge receipt of your appeal or complaint?
• Have they responded to any of your submissions prior to the most recent letter dated 22 July?

Once I have these answers, I can advise on what keeper rights you have, rebut any assumption of driver identity, if possible and demand procedural accountability.
