NtK received from Parking Group

I’ve received a Notice to Keeper from Parking Group Ltd in relation to Integra 61 Retail, Bowburn, and I’d be grateful for some advice before submitting an appeal.

The alleged parking event was on 30/08/2026. The ANPR times shown are 23:50:17 to 02:47:28, giving a total duration of 2 hours 57 minutes 11 seconds. The Notice to Keeper was posted on 02/09/2026. The reason given is “Vehicle Overstayed the Maximum Stay period”.

The charge is £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.

I am the registered keeper. I haven’t contacted Parking Group Ltd yet and haven’t identified the driver. I wanted to ask for advice before doing anything, particularly as I don’t want to inadvertently admit anything or undermine any potential appeal.

I don’t know how to upload the photos of the redacted NtK but I’m trying to figure that out now.

I’ve had a look at Schedule 4 POFA 2012 and noticed that the notice gives ANPR entry and exit times and a “duration”, rather than expressly identifying a period of parking. I’m not sure whether that is significant in this case or whether there are stronger grounds available.

You can see by the photos in the NtK, it was during nighttime, and it was very dark. Is this something that can be worked with?

I’d really appreciate some guidance on the best basis for the initial appeal and anything I should avoid saying. I’m happy to post any further information or photographs needed.

Thanks in advance.
