Hi Everyone
I appreciate your help with the below. I am the owner and registered keeper of the car.
Upon entering the car park, the driver found a space, parked up, and went inside McDonald's for a kids birthday party. The driver bought food so was a paying customer.
The limit on car park is 1hour 30mins, however the driver spoke with the manager part way through the visit but before 90mins and gave the number plate who said it was ok to stay beyond the 90mins.
The driver stayed beyond 90mins, but less than 120mins.
I can only assume the manager didn't do anything with the number plate, and some time later over the Christmas period a letter from Parking Eye was sent. This was 10 days later.
The driver took said letter to McDonalds (on the 11th day) and the manager took the letter and said they will sort it.
Today (20 days later) we have received a reminder to pay, which is now beyond the discount period.
How should I go about challenging this? If the manager in the first instance has said 90mins is max, the driver would have left in good time.
Thanks in advance.
Attached is the letter (with redacted info), and terms of the carpark.
