Hi,
I received two PCN from Jun24 to Dec24, both were paid to Trace total £340.00.
Last week I received a county court letter advising Moorside Legal had issued a claim for £340.00 relating to two PCN from Jun24 to Dec24.
First thing I did was acknowledge the email and then defended the claim online via HMRC website.
I then went to bank got got a print out of the proof of payments and posted them with a cover letter to Moorside Legal & Trace.
Today I have now received an email from Trace asking me to provide the last 4 digits of card and then also said they have found another payment outstanding of £127.50 from 2021!
Trace have now said they have frozen the case for 14 days to investigate.
Moorside I attempted to speak to but got a horrible person who wouldn't listen and when I started to cry with stress / frustration laughed and told me to have a lovely day before putting the phone down.
I am currently in the process of buying a house so the stress of all this is taking its toll.
Is there anything else I should / could be doing in the meantime or do I just sit tight while they deal with all this.
