Just recieved this.
Bit of history.
I had knee surgery at the end of May with a long recovery. Unfortunately despite being far more immobile than a lot of those that are eligible for a blue badge I am not able to get one as they arent given for transient or temporary disabiliy.
I generally use the disabled bays in shops and non council areas all the time as I have been given express permission by many of them who can clearly see I cannot walk far and need to room to fully open the door.
I sought permission from the Mc donalds in question if I could use it briefly and was told it was fine.
However I have received a Parking charge notice today for contravening the blue badge notice.
My first POC will be to phone McDonalds to get it cancelled, by Im not sure this will work.
I am sort of familiar with the protocol these days but not entirely.
should I appeal? The appeal on their site requires me to name the driver and details etc but I understand this is not good practice?
I have plenty if letters showing my condition and operation etc.
I have attached a picture of the PCN.
Thanks.
