Dear Sir/Madam,
LETTER BEFORE ACTION - CLAIM FOR DEBT UNPAID PARKING CHARGE NOTICE (PCN)
5 AUGUST 2024
£ 170.00
KFC NEWARK, LINCOLN RD, ROMAN WAY
This letter is being sent to you in relation to the above detailed Parking Charge (PCN), which remains outstanding. The charge includes a reasonable sum to cover the charges we have incurred, and the time and resources spent in attempting to recover the debt. We are writing to you at this address in accordance with the Pre-action Protocol for Debt Claims ('PAP') contained in the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and, in circumstances where you have not responded to any previous correspondence, pursuant to a trace of your most recent address, or where we have been notified that you have moved address from the address which was originally provided by the DVLA. As detailed above, the PCN has not been paid (either in whole or in part*), and it is our position that you are liable for payment of the outstanding PCN sum and any additional debt recovery fees. The PCN was issued for a breach of the terms and conditions of parking at the relevant premises as set out in detail on the PCN itself.
Payment can be made at
www.ce-service.co.uk or by scanning the payment QR code at the top of this letter. We also refer you to paragraph 4 of the PAP, which requires you to respond to this letter, completing the enclosed Reply Form within 30 days of the date of this letter. If you do not pay or respond within 30 days of the date of the letter, we will commence proceedings against you to recover the unpaid debt, which may lead to a Court Judgment against you requiring you to pay the sum owing. If a Judgment is obtained it will adversely affect your credit rating and could affect your ability to obtain credit in future. If you are in financial difficulty or need debt advice, you can obtain free, impartial and non-judgemental advice from organisations such as Citizens Advice, Step Change Debt Charity, National Debt Line, Advice UK and Christians Against Poverty. Details are available on the enclosed information sheet. (continued over)
If you ignore this letter, proceedings will be issued against you and may increase your liability for costs.
