Hi. I've received this NTK for the contravention of dropping off or picking up outside designated areas at Luton airport. To give some context, the driver headed to the mid term car park to make use of the 15 minutes free parking to drop off their son and his girlfriend. However, they were unaware that the free parking has now been removed from this area, and they now charge £15 for one hour. Not wanting to pay that amount, the driver reversed back from the barrier and let them out at the traffic lights, which were red. Have they breached any terms with these actions ? The appeal has to go to APCOA, so they're obviously going to reject any protestations, but should I do that anyway ? Any advice much appreciated, thank you.

First of all, search the forum for
APCOA Luton
and you will find, for example, https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/apcoa-parking-charge-luton-airport/msg106610/#msg106610

APCOA usually fold when they receive this. There are many, many APCOA airport cases documented here.
