Can you show us the notice you've received?
Realistically, if you've no financial ties to Britain then APCOA have little prospect of recovering any money from you.
We do sometimes see issues with hire companies paying these charges however and then charging their customers, sometimes automatically using their card details, at which point you'd need to dispute this with your card provider (there are mechanisms through which to do this in the UK, I'm not sure if there are any equivalent systems in France).
With this in mind we can probably draft up a quick appeal for you that will get the charge cancelled and hopefully avoid your hire company becoming a pain!
If the hire company don't have your card details, you can probably just ignore it.
