How to appeal my private parking ticket
« on: »
Hello all!

I received a charge for having parked on a private land. Is there a way I can succesfully appeal this given the fact that I was there for about 15' with an agency viewing a flat in that same property that is on sale atm? I even have an offer placed for that flat.

I believe the parking spaces where not allocated. I did drive through a gated private property (it is a block of buildings containing residencial flats) with signs explaining that parking is for residents only.

Can anyone advice please? Do I contact the company that issued it, PPS Private Parking Solutions (London0 Ltd)? Do I contact the management company of the building (they employ PPS)? Is there anything I can do? I'll talk to the agent on Mon, he also parked there. I don't suppose it helps but I left a note on the car explaining why I was there and providing my phone number...

The ticket is from a trade body registered parking firm (I found them on BPA).

Thank you in advance

We need to see the Notice to Keeper (NtK) you received, both sides.

Your Plan A is the first step. Get the Management company to call off their agents.

Personally, I would never consider purchasing or renting a property that is infested by an unregulated private parking firm. You will live to regret it and so will any visitors or delivery people and they may even blacklist your address.

If you do choose to ignore my advice, you should check any lease very carefully for whatever it says about parking. What it doesn’t say about parking is equally important.
