Author Topic: NPC Parking PCN - Parked without a cashless payment session - Winnersh Triangle  (Read 711 times)

Good Afternoon,

In November of last year, the vehicle (of which i am the registered keeper) was parked in Winnersh Triangle, payment is via the RingGo app.
Due to no signal being avaiable there was a delay between parking and payment being taken on the ringgo app, payment for the full parking event did get taken though.

It would seem, between the parking, and payment the car park was visited and photos were taken of the vehicle and a PCN was received.

An appeal with the payment refernce/invoice was submitted on the 24th December, and an email was recieved from NPC saying they had recieved my appeal.

I have had no further correspondance from NPC until today when i recieved a notice of debt recovery from dcbl.

Timleine is as follows:

date of contrevention: 11/12/25
Date of PCN - 12/12/25  (£100 reduced to 60 if paid in 14 Days)
appealed - 24/12/25
Notice of Debt Recovery - recioeved 13/3/26 - (now £170)

Just wondering what the options are now, i assume wait for dbcl to "refer" it back to PCN but any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Sit it out.

You are now in a process.

Wait for Letter Before Claim.

Fab thanks, will do.

Hi All,

Another letter from the DBCL lot! Is a letter of Claim the same as a Letter before claim?

Is there anything i need to do with this one, or is waiting for the next one.

Cheers
Tim

It’s from DCB Legal, not DCBL, and - yes - it’s a Letter of Claim or a Letter before Claim, they’re the same thing.

Please post the original PCN without the dates obscured, as requested in https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/. Is your summary of dates as posted instead correct, ie the PCN dated 1 day after the parking?
