I sold a car on 27/10/2024. I've already paid many fines due to worry and bailiff threats. tried to appeal as I have DVLA confirmation of sale but told its to late. moved out of registered address so only receiving these once its with collection companies. please help! it seems like this is going to go on forever . thank you

I can't find the option to attach letters but I have a written letter from DVLA confirming date of sale. proof of insurance cancellation, proof of last tax paid by me and a sale receipt from the transaction.

Not unusual for this to happen. When you notify the DVLAthey remove the keeper from the date of receipt there can be some difference as some people post the notification, but it can be done immediately online. If you are receiving notifications after you have disposed of the vehicle the you need to write to the DVLA under the being bothered process. If you have a letter from them showing disposal then this should suffice but as stated there needs to be specific detail to advise further.

It's a dcbl fine of £170 for not paying for sufficient parking. I moved address since owning the car and never received the original fine. I've paid 4 already hoping they would end but they keep coming.

The issue here is that although you have notified DVLA you were no longer keeper in October 2024. They say they did not do this until November 2025. Considering the PCN was apparently issued in September 2025. They appear not to believe that the disposal date is accurate. You can either post up the original or ask them to provide it to your current address. They should update their records so if the matter heads in the direction of the court they know where you live.

You require copies of all notices and correspondence, whether issued by you or your agents, in respect of Parking Charge number **********. Email service would suffice.

You should delete address ******** from your records.

And provide some proof of identity and address pl, maybe a photo ID driving licence? 

Why the gap between when you sold it and when DVLA first logged the change?
