Alperton Gym -PCN from CPM- Forgot to confirm after enter VRN at kiosk

Hi All,

CPM event timeline:
30.03.2026 Family member went to gym 7pm class using my car. She put the reg but forgot to confirm at the end.
08.05.2026 Realise no post for a long time. Waiting for hospital letter, local election postal vote form, birthday card etc. Call Royal Mail.
08.05.2026 Received email from Royal Mail confirming my complain [case ref 1183xxx]
21.05.2026 Received missing letters including PCN and Debt Collector.
21.05.2026 CPM PCN [dated 02.04.2026] £60
21.05.2026 Debt Recovery Plus [dated 08.05.2026] £170
21.05.2026 Evening talked to trainer and sent email to the manager of gym.
22.05.2026 Manager of gym replied.
22.05.2026 Called CPM and Debt Recovery Plus. Told to pay £170.
26.05.2026 Sent message in CPM website.
28.05.2026 CPM replied.
28.05.2026 Debt Recovery Plus [dated 22.05.2026] £170
18.06.2026 Debt Recovery Plus [dated 08.06.2026] £280

The registered keeper received third demand from Debt Collector yesterday. The demands go up from £170 to £280. The original PCN and first Debtor Collector letter were received after 49 days because no post was received about 5 weeks. Any advice would be appreciated. Many Thanks.

Not much you can do now, well past appeals and getting it cancelled or reduced to £20. Ball is in their court. Wait for a letter of claim and come back here for advice.

Found it.

So the PCN is not PoFA compliant.

Just a question of waiting for the Letter Before Claim.

I google PoFA compliant. I look again the first PCN. I forgot to attach the back. Is this the PoFA compliant? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Definitely not compliant.

Check out the requirements of PoFA Schedule 4 Paragraph 9(2)(e).

The notice is missing required mandatory wording and the invitation to the keeper is never presented in the manner demanded by the legislation.
