The Bunch (energy supplier) final bill
« on: »
Sadly had no knowledge of the many negative reviews online before using this supplier. Term's ended and have now got an email with a final bill of over 1900£.

For context, moved in May last year to a fully electric one bed flat, single occupier, EPC C. Paid over 140£ monthly via direct debit (comes to 1700£ over the 12 month term.)
Initial reaction: "electric, therefore more expensive." Switched suppliers to Scottish gas, now pay just over 50£ monthly. (a 180% decrease!) Ofgem cap just over 1800£ for this period. Has the 'final bill' (1900£) come out of thin air?

Moved from a two bed flat with two occupiers, same EPC, electricity and gas supplied by EOn Next. Bills were rarely over 120. Occasional 150 in a colder month.
Written a strongly worded email per their complaints process and ready to take this to the ombudsman/take legal action.

Any insight much appreciated.
