I HAVE A HIGH COURT CASE RE JUDICIAL REVIEW BUT WILL DO MY BEST TO ADVISE AND TAKE ON CASES IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

cp8759 and mrmustard are true geniuses. I know my place in the hierarchy of The Three Musketeers. 😊 "The Clinician", "The Gentleman" and "The Showman"

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

Here's the link: Councils fine 100 motorists every minute - Daily Telegraph

Must say the headline is somewhat misleading when the opening line is (my emphasis):

Quote
A record 100 motorists are being fined every minute by councils and private parking companies, The Telegraph can reveal.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) received 52 million requests to trace drivers’ personal details, invariably to issue a penalty charge notice (PCN), in the year to March 2026.

Seems a touch misleading to lump private parking operators in there, as well as all the other requests that don't necessarily relate to directly issuing a PCN like requests from enforcement agents and bailiffs etc. (CDER Group and Bristow & Sutor were responsible for 3 million requests in the 25/26 reporting year).

Also quite lazy when the KADOE Volumes spreadsheets allow you to filter by the type of organisation making the request. The total for "Local Authority or agents acting on their behalf " and "Government" in that period was 23,081,363 requests.

The truth is the first casualty of modern journalism.

Didn't we all share some drinks together after the "Swift" hearing?  :D
