They appear to have passed it onto debt collectors before the 35 days they give themselves to respond is up.

I doubt it makes any difference though it does suggest the £70 they appear to have added is premature.

You do, of course, have the option of pleading not guilty as well, whether that may be wise depends on what the footage shows. It will cost more in costs if convicted.

The foreshortening on a dash cam can make things look worse.

A short period when store closed is fairly common, on both individual stores and retail parks. It seems more common in more residential areas.

They are generally trying to prevent nuisance. A common issue being youth congregation.

There is a risk that the lease company will simply pay it and bill you (along with an admin fee).

It may be a good idea to check what your lease says.

There is a specific process to transfer liability to you which they can undertake. Errors are often made which give rise to other appeal points. An associated admin fee will generally apply, sometime recoverable from the lease company on success.

Horizon are not going to waste money writing to you, this is slightly frustrating of course just in case the message doesn't get through.

Check in a few days. Normally you would need to enter the details in either a payments (obviously don't go all the way through) or a challenge (ditto don't submit).

Keep a screen shot of "not found" if that is the case.

I don't see how the V5 being correct necessarily helps even if any correspondence was misdelivered.

The fine is presumably for keeping the untaxed vehicle (plus the back tax).

The fact of misdelivery of reminders and out of court settlement doesn't change that.

It could be that the DVLA might be persuaded to reoffer an out of court settlement after a statutory declaration which would be cheaper.

Politely ask for the manager, you need somebody with authority.

Explain as you have here, armed with the picture of the sign you relied on.

Explain that with your mobility issues you can't go tramping around, in any event the sign was complete.

Just deflect questioning around location in my view. Everything takes you linger etc, in any event theres no mention of a limit etc

Try and get confirm via email or something if they agree.

For info, it's not a fine. It's an invoice for the contract they alleged you agreed (but that's not really relevant with your chat with the store. Elsewhere it is).

Your blue badge has no specific meaning on private land, but the equalities act does. So if time does become mentioned the could possibly be mentions as to how it's a reasonable adjustment to allow you more time.

There is little they will accept. Ultimately it is down a judge.

The sign states "of the above terms and conditions".

It's reasonable you couldn't digest the sign on the way in. It is reasonable in my view not to search it out given the nearby sign.

Whether a judge would agree it is compelling is a different question.

The fact you were offsite part of the time won't help in terms of trying Tesco to cancel, but there wasn't a specific condition requiring you to stay on site. The entry on your card statement of bank statement will help evidence your patronage.

Do you have a popla code. That is another possible route. Otherwise it's wait for court.

Don't rush to send anything to anybody without posting it for comment.

The initial sign you posted asks you to comply with the conditions on that sign.

It doesn't mention a time limit. It also doesn't seem to ask you to refer to other signs for additional conditions.

They will probably keep a record of the penalties somewhere. Possibly they will go through the French court system. Who know what that might result in.

Then perhaps you had a traffic stop or something.

That might encourage them to consult all their systems. They have some thing in the name of Your Name and an address, possibly a passport number, quite likely a Uk DL no. They may correspond to the individual in front of them. So whatever the process is in France they then follow.

The same is true with entry. They may try and tie it up at point of entry. A bit more difficult, but who knows.

Obviously it's not particularly probable.

There are occasional reports of people having issues.

You left you name and address on it.

If you choose to pay 45€ you won't have a problem.

If you don't you might.

If you happen to come to the french authorities attention they could possibly tie things up and enforce them.

From may 25 there is the ETIAS system to allow entry which may make some attempt to tie things up and could theoretically cause an issue.

Is ther any known way of adjusting the ratings or turning off ?

When scrolling with left hand and a finger if it happens to be in the ratings there is a tendency on android for this to be taken as a click and issue that rating.

In terms of checking the DVLA record you can only ask.

The do have an email like contact and a webchat which can be useful.

You can also make an FOI request which won't be quick. Supply some ID and a couple of bills - you shouldn't really need to supply much but it's just easier than getting it rejected.

A fairly common error is to fill out a new address rather than a change of keeper.
